Whether you're a local business owner, resident, or just passionate about supporting small businesses and community growth, join the Foggy Bottom West End Main Streets program as an advisor. Advisors are expected to attend monthly board meetings, attend and support ongoing initiatives and events, serving on committees or partnering on projects, having your voice heard and put local passion and energy to make a real impact.

We are also looking for a Co-Chair if you are interested in serving in a larger capacity.

The Co-Chair of the Foggy Bottom West End Main Street (FBWE MS) Board helps lead and support our growing organization, working closely with the President and Executive Director to ensure the board remains organized, accountable, and effective in carrying out its mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft agendas for monthly board meetings and coordinate meeting logistics

  • Communicate with board members and support clear, consistent information sharing

  • Serve as liaison to the Executive Director to help track priorities and accountability

  • Assist with website updates, email marketing, and event planning as needed

  • Maintain and organize the FBWE MS Google Drive and digital files

  • Act as a backup point of contact for city agencies and the DC Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) when needed

  • Option to attend the annual Main Streets Now Conference (Tulsa in 2026)

Time Commitment: Approximately 5–10 hours per month
Location: Foggy Bottom–West End neighborhood, Washington, D.C.
